30 g potatoes spice mix from COOKandGRILL
800 g waxy potatoes
1 clove of garlic
20 g butter, for the mold
250 ml cream
Grease a shallow gratin dish with butter. Peel the garlic. Either dice finely and distribute in the mold or press directly into the mold. Peel the potatoes and cut them into fine slices (I use a cucumber slicer for this, it's the quickest way).
Layer half of the potato slices in the dish. Finely sprinkle the potatoes with the spice mixture and then layer the remaining potatoes on top.
Mix the cream and the milk. Season generously with the potato spice mixture. Pour this mixture over the potatoes. Scatter knobs of butter over the gratin.
Bake in the preheated oven at 180 °C top/bottom heat for approx. 40 minutes. Serve hot and enjoy!
